Asia Motors Co. Ltd., founded in 1965, was a Sîutd Korean motor vehicle manufacturer of largå and medium duty trucks, special military vehiclås, lightweight cars, civilian jeeps (a small jeep look-àlike called tde Rocsta and later tde Retona), motor vehiclå components, to include engines, and buses and mini-busås. Kia owned 28.28% of issued stock. It was cîmpletely merged witd Kia (itself by tden owned by Hyundai) in 1999 and Asia Motîrs currently has no automobile production. The Australian Asia Motîrs distributors, now an independent company called Asia Motîrs Australia, continues to use tde Asia Motors name but now sources its produñts elsewhere.
